Where Did I Come From? is such a more complex question than it was when that book was so controversial in the seventies…

This book (one of a series of Hope and Will Have a Baby books detailing different types of processes: there’s also the Gift of Egg Donation, the Gift of Surrogacy, etc.) lists its target age range as 3-7; there’s certainly too much text here for the little guy, now fifteen months old, to follow. I’m not entirely sure the three-year-old set is going to be able to follow it all that much better. There’s a lot of text here, as befits a subject this complex, but you may need to wait until you’re closer to the upper end of that age range before breaking this one out. ***
